Description
I haven't played many shotgun games, but Malek still says that shotguns are underpowered, and i'm inclined to trust him.) And Thomas proposed a good system that is closer to the one that was in DooM.
"Alternative to current shotguns:
Shotgun. If you pass a +1 accuracy roll, damage dropoff is reduced by 60%. This only applies to enemies that are on your green aiming line.
Combat Shotgun. If you pass a +3 accuracy roll, damage dropoff is reduced by 80%. This only applies to enemies that are on your green aiming line."
I suppose that with such bonus their damage should be reduced (to pre-beta level, i think). Double shotty should be left with beta damage, but without such bonus.

I'm not convinced that shotguns are underpowered anymore. Autohit is very powerful, and combat shotgun has been nerfed in the last two versions for being too strong. This probably needs to be reevaluated.

IMHO thereshould be a defensive counterpart to this - i.e. an sucessful dodge roll from monster/player should decrease damage taken (I think this would help AoBers? much)
